Collateral Murder

Stills

The gathering

Saeed Chmagh and Namir Noor-Eldeen are both carrying something on their shoulders; Saeed a bag and Namir a camera. The men appear relaxed and unaware of being targets. The men are heading towards the corner of the street.

Eleven people can be seen here. Namir appears to be talking with one of the men while Saeed trails behind.

One of the men leads Namir towards the street intersection.

The man in the striped shirt appears to be one-armed. He is carrying something in the other hand that appears to be a weapon.

Namir Noor-Eldeen tries to take a picture of whatever is occurring further down the street. His camera lens and head appear from around the corner. The pilot in the Apache mistakes his camera for an RPG. This is the very moment the pilot gets permission to attack the group of 11 men.

The entire camera is visible as Namir gazes down the street and prepares to take a photo.

The men gather around Namir Noor-Eldeen to look at the photo he just took moments earlier. Saeed Chmagh is talking on the phone and not facing the group.

Namir Noor-Eldeen becomes aware of that they are being targeted by the Apache helicopter. The other men are unassuming.
